Job Title: Business Development and Marketing Coordinator

Location: Denver Colorado

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development and Marketing Coordinator to join our team. This individual will be dedicated to generating qualified leads, supporting marketing initiatives, and driving business growth. The ideal candidate will have a true marketing personality, with a passion for building relationships, creating impactful campaigns, and driving lead conversion. As a Business Development and Marketing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in expanding our client base and increasing revenue. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing and executing marketing strategies, and representing CompassData at industry events and trade shows. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated marketing professional to make a significant impact in a fast-paced and innovative company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Develop and implement proactive lead generation strategies, utilizing data analytics and market research to identify and qualify potential clients in key sectors (renewable energy, government, etc.). Manage the sales pipeline effectively from initial contact to closing, utilizing CRM tools and sales methodologies (SPIN selling).
  • Client Engagement: effectively engaging and qualifying inbound leads, converting interest into actionable opportunities
  • Marketing: Coordinate marketing campaigns with sales team and marketing resources. Collaborate with internal and external resources to create and execute integrated marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, content creation, and social media strategies.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. Proactively manage customer expectations and address concerns.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Contribute to the development and execution of comprehensive sales strategies, aligning them with CompassData's overall business objectives. This includes forecasting, target setting, and ongoing performance monitoring. Expanding Market reach by developing and implementing a targeting sales enablement program.
  • Industry Expertise: Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies, including advancements in LiDAR, satellite imagery, and mobile mapping, to ensure we remain competitive and offer innovative solutions to our clients.
  • Event Representation: Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent CompassData and generate new leads. Build and maintain strong client relationships through networking and outreach.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Geospatial Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • 4-5+ years of experience in lead generation, marketing, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of successful lead generation and marketing campaigns.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., HubSpot) and sales methodologies (e.g., SPIN selling).
  • Familiarity with geospatial technologies (e.g., LiDAR, photogrammetry) preferred.

Compensation: This role will be compensated with a base salary and commissions based on qualified leads generated, conversion rate, and close cycle time.
