Contract Technical Writer – Information Security

Contract Duration: 6 months, with potential extension
Location: Hybrid – Raleigh, NC (3 days on-site per week)

Are you a seasoned technical writer with a passion for information security and a knack for turning complex technical content into clear, actionable documentation? ProEdit’s client, a leading organization in the digital entertainment space, is seeking a technical writer for a 6-month contract. As a contract technical writer, you'll collaborate with the information security team and will be instrumental in producing a wide range of documentation to support risk management, compliance, and internal security awareness initiatives. Deliverables include, but are not limited to, policies and procedures, standards and guidelines, security awareness training materials, best practice guides, and lessons learned and after-action reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Demonstrated success authoring technical documentation in support of InfoSec initiatives.
• Experience organizing and publishing documentation in Confluence (Cloud or Data Center environments).
• Must be detail-oriented and can translate complex security language into content.
• Excels at working independently while proactively engaging stakeholders to move documentation projects forward.
• Ability to ensure content aligns with internal governance requirements and information security frameworks.
• Ability to work on-site 3 days per week according to the client’s preferences.

Note: Our client will consider Information Security Engineers who have experience writing documentation.
