Job Description

JEVS Human Services  has an exciting opportunity to join the team at our  Orleans Technical College  as an HVAC Assistant Instructor. The Instructor will be responsible for teaching students through hands-on projects and theory in safety, math, and other basics of air conditioning refrigeration and heating.

The hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:10pm.

Job Duties 

• Assist the instructor(s) in the completion of lesson plans, student evaluations, progress reports, and attendance.
• Provide instruction in the safe operation of equipment and supervise hands-on projects.
• Assist by preparing curricula materials, distributing tools, and setting up audiovisual materials/equipment and any additional duties pertinent to the course. 
• Maintain shop equipment 
• Provide classroom coverage for the lead instructor 
• Assist instructor with grading tests and entering grades
• In the event that an instructor is unavailable, the Assistant Instructor will substitute teach. 

Qualifications :

• Minimum 3-5 years years of verifiable related work experience.
• Being amenable to close supervision.

The base pay for this position is $25.00. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
