Job Title: Quality Assurance Test Manager

Location: One Ashburton Place, Boston, MA 02108

Tenure: One Year

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday Friday (37.5 hours/week)

Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance Test Manager will lead user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts for the BEST program to ensure that all delivered software solutions meet defined requirements and user expectations.

This role will plan and manage end-user testing activities involving up to 250 testers, collaborate with QA leads, business SMEs, and solution integrators, and oversee the creation and execution of test plans, scripts, and reports.

The selected candidate will ensure adherence to SDLC best practices, promote cross-team collaboration, and maintain detailed documentation throughout the UAT phase of Phase 1, with possible continuation into Phase 2.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance and Test Management:

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee UAT activities for the BEST program.
• Collaborate with SMEs to validate roles, workflows, and functionality.
• Lead the creation of test scripts, test data, and result documentation.
• Identify test coverage gaps and advocate for defect resolution.
• Facilitate tester training, role provisioning, and daily testing coordination.

SDLC and QA Support:

• Implement best practices for all QA processes within various SDLC frameworks (Waterfall, Agile, Iterative).
• Conduct quality phase gate reviews and ensure requirements traceability.
• Provide detailed test reporting and real-time dashboard metric tracking.
• Recommend improvements based on lessons learned and testing outcomes.

Automation & Integration Testing:

• Utilize automated test tools and support automation strategies.
• Support interface and data conversion testing for integrations and end-to-end workflows.

Team Management:

• Assist in recruiting and managing UAT testers.
• Allocate testing assignments based on skills and coverage needs.
• Act as the primary contact for resolving testing issues and coordinating across teams.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience across all testing phases: unit, integration, UAT, performance, regression, etc.
• Deep knowledge of SDLC methodologies including Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong ability to interpret complex requirements and identify testing risks.
• Proficient in SQL and test automation tools.
• Experience managing QA efforts for large-scale enterprise software projects.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience testing cloud-based SaaS applications.
• Familiarity with automated testing strategy and toolset.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 7+ years of experience managing QA efforts for complex enterprise software initiatives.

Work Hours:

• 7.5 hours/day, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), totaling 37.5 hours/week.
• Additional hours (overtime, nights, weekends) may be required and scheduled with the supervisor.
