POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician/Handyman in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role is crucial in maintaining our short-term rentals and assisting with renovation projects.

Your Role:

• Ensure properties are pristine and ready for guests.
• Assist in renovation projects, managing your tasks and supervising subcontractors.
• Engage in hands-on problem-solving and project management.

Daily Tasks:

• Care for amenities like hot tubs and BBQ grills.
• Perform maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and installations.
• Manage property renovations, including plumbing fixtures, cleaning services , and repair tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Commute between properties for maintenance and repair tasks.
• Service vacation rentals, including hot tub maintenance and grill cleaning.
• Perform general property upkeep, landscaping , and light snow removal.
• Install and replace fixtures like water heaters, light fixtures, and kitchen cabinets.
• Source and manage subcontractors, ensuring project goals are met.
• Order materials and develop a materials catalog for project efficiency.
• Maintain job site safety and security.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience as a handyman or maintenance technician.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred.
• Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and building codes.
• Physical ability to handle demanding tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed).
• Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
• Flexible availability for emergency maintenance requests.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Annual Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 based on experience and achievement

Schedule: Regular business hours with availability for weekends and overtime as needed.
