Patton State Hospital, Human Resources Department, is accepting applications for at least one (1) Limited Term, Full-Time appointment to the Associate Governmental Program Analyst in the Standards Compliance Department. May also consider a highly qualified Staff Services Analyst. Positions filled as limited term may be extended up to 24 months and/or become permanent.
The Quality Improvement (QI) Data Specialist conducts analytical assessments on performance improvement audit data for Psychiatry, Psychology, Nursing, Nutrition Services, Rehabilitation Therapy, Social Work, and other various departments; develops graphs and statistical data for measuring improvement; monitors and tracks data reports for the QI Team leaders and Quality Council; determine root cause by utilizing the 5 Why’s, Fishbone Diagram, or other RCA modality for determining contributing factors; reviews PLATO performance improvement audit data, analyzes data, and recommends QI project for low compliance audits; and reviews Risk Management reports to determine trending patterns.
The QI Data Specialist shall be experienced in utilizing databases to develop comprehensive, statistical, and aggregate data reports; shall understand the principles of the QI cycle; is expected to maintain confidentiality, privacy, and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personal Information (PI); maintain a professional appearance and demeanor; possess excellent oral and written communication skills; have excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task and work well under pressure; ability to work positively with all levels of management, supervisors, and staff; comply with hospital policies and procedures; and report to work on time.

Patton is a forensic psychiatric hospital and was established in 1890 and opened in 1893. DSH-Patton provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure treatment area. The hospital does not accept voluntary admissions.
