Job Title: Red Hat Specialist with AWS, Keycloak, and AMQ Experience
Location: Remote, US
Location: East coast preferred- but remote from anywhere in US is ok
Duration: 3-6 months contract
Job Summary :
As a Red Hat Specialist with AWS, Keycloak, and AMQ experience, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure solutions based on Red Hat technologies, including identity and messaging services within AWS cloud environments. You will provide high-level support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the stability, security, and
scalability of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. System Administration:
o Manage and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems in both local and cloud based environments.
o Perform regular system updates, patching, and upgrades to ensure security and
performance.
2. AWS Cloud Management:
o Design, deploy, and manage Red Hat systems in AWS, leveraging services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, and S3.
o Utilize AWS native tools and services to enhance infrastructure security, scalability, and redundancy.
3. Identity Management with Keycloak:
o Configure and manage Keycloak instances for identity and access management.
o Implement Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions and enhance security protocols using
Keycloak.
4. Messaging Services with AMQ:
o Design and manage Red Hat AMQ environments for robust messaging solutions.
o Optimize message flows and broker configurations for performance and reliability.
5. Container Management with OpenShift:
o Deploy and manage applications on Red Hat OpenShift platforms.
o Configure and optimize OpenShift clusters for container orchestration and
management.
6. Technical Support:
o Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Red Hat, AWS, Keycloak, AMQ, and OpenShift systems and applications.
o Provide support to other IT staff and end-users, assisting them with Red Hat, AWS,
Keycloak, AMQ, and OpenShift-related questions and problems.
7. Design & Implementation:
o Plan, design, and execute new deployments and enhancements to existing
infrastructure locally and in AWS, incorporating OpenShift considerations.
o Implement automation processes using tools such as Ansible, Puppet, AWS
Lambda, and CloudFormation.
8. Security & Compliance:
o Monitor systems for security vulnerabilities and apply necessary patches or
configurations, particularly for identity management and messaging security.
o Ensure systems comply with organizational, AWS best practices, and industry
standards and regulations.
9. Performance Optimization:
o Analyze system performance and implement tuning changes to improve efficiency
and capacity both locally and in the cloud, including Keycloak, AMQ, and OpenShift
configurations.
10. Documentation:
o Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures for AWS, Red Hat
systems, Keycloak, AMQ, and OpenShift environments.
o Document system architecture, configurations, and processes involving these
technologies.
11. Collaboration:
o Work closely with cross-functional teams to support applications running on Red
Hat platforms with complex identity and messaging solutions in AWS.
o Coordinate with vendors and partners in developing solutions or solving issues that
span AWS, Keycloak, AMQ, and OpenShift environments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator or similar role, particularly with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, AWS, Keycloak, AMQ, and OpenShift.
Strong understanding of AWS services, Keycloak identity management, AMQ messaging systems, and OpenShift container management.
Experience with system automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, AWS CloudFormation).
Knowledge of virtualization technologies (such as KVM, VMware) and container solutions implemented via OpenShift.
Familiarity with networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) in both on prem and AWS environments.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and relevant Keycloak, AMQ, or OpenShift training are highly desirable.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Working Conditions:
May require some on-call support or overtime work during critical incidents and operations.
