Job Description



As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will be primarily responsible for oversight and management of financial reporting and analysis, in support of strategic decision making. Generally, you will support a Regional Finance Director, and the Trucordia office partners in a specific geographic region(s). You will collaborate with the Accounting team and other shared service leaders, to report accurate and timely reporting on a monthly basis. The right candidate demonstrates effective communication and presentation skills across all levels of the organization. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Oversee and manage Junior Financial Analyst(s)
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting - analyzing financial results, understanding key trends, assessing current and future business risk, and communicating/presenting key messages to senior management
  • Support company planning processes for all corporate short and long-term forecasts for all financial statements, primarily for the Income Statement
  • Collaborate across the organization to drive process and systematic improvements that will drive increased productivity and accuracy.
  • Build and maintain relevant KPI dashboards
  • Contribute to the creation of a detailed operating plan and long-term corporate financial model; track ongoing changes to the business in the rolling forecast
  • Support Finance leadership team on annual operating plan, quarterly/monthly forecasting
  • Effectively communicate with various offices across region
  • Ad-hoc analysis as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • 3 - 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A roles
  • Analytical, accurate, detail-oriented, and a self-starter able to meet deadlines and work successfully in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent financial modeling and analysis skills
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are required
  • Experience with Financial and Reporting systems such as NetSuite and Adaptive preferred
  • Insurance Industry experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent and clear communication skills
