The University of Chicago?s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank for the Sleep Psychology program. Appointees will provide assessments and evidence-based interventions for patients presenting with sleep disorders, interact with multidisciplinary team members (e.g., pulmonology, neurology, otolaryngology) to inform shared treatment plans, and provide clinical and consultative services to sleep medicine providers. They will support clinics including adult and pediatric sleep disorders; and join a multidisciplinary team aiming to expand the reach and effectiveness of the integrated behavioral health program in sleep medicine. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited university-based doctoral program, 2) hold or be eligible for an Illinois license in Clinical Psychology, and 3) have completed an internship at an APA-accredited site.
We especially welcome applicants with training and experience in adult and pediatric psychology (with an emphasis in sleep psychology preferred), behavioral medicine principles, evidence-based treatment for medical and psychiatric conditions, and/or competency in cognitive-behavior therapy, including third wave treatments and motivational enhancement.
