Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Logistics Team Leader to oversee the delivery service and inventory control for our Bioprocessing and Purification Technologies (BPT) facilities and third-party logistics (3PL) operations. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring top-notch service, optimizing delivery performance, and maintaining inventory health across multiple warehouses. What You'll Do:
- Lead and manage the execution of logistics operations, including inventory control, warehousing, transportation, logistics planning, order processing, and customer service, ensuring compliance with standards and policies.
- Perform daily stock comparisons and inventory reconciliations, ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Proactively monitor and report on delivery performance, escalating issues as necessary and working on contingency or recovery plans.
- Oversee inventory health, conduct physical inventories, manage cycle counting, handle batch management, scrap/disposal, and collaborate with supply chain finance to forecast costs.
- Lead cross-functional projects aimed at improving 3PL supply chain performance and reducing operational costs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts across the business and with external vendors, addressing and resolving service issues as they arise.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing performance data and recommending strategies to optimize logistics operations.
- Manage vendor contracts and performance, ensuring alignment with operational goals for inventory control, warehousing, transportation, and customer service.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for any delivery failures, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Strive to meet or exceed key performance metrics, improving cost, service performance, and logistics activities such as inventory control, forecasting, deployment, service levels, warehousing, and order processing.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of experience in warehousing or supply chain operations
- 2+ years of experience in logistics management
- Strong ability to manage business performance using daily key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Flexible work options available for remote positions

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers and understanding cost models
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with a diverse team
- CSCP certification (Certified Supply Chain Professional)
- Advanced technical or business degree preferred
- Experience in chemical supply chain management
- Familiarity with export shipments, DOT 49 CFR compliance
- Knowledge of related areas such as Distribution, Production, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, and Compliance
- Experience with acquisition integration is a plus
- Strong financial knowledge related to logistics measurements, ratios, and volume cycle counts
- Proficiency in using technology to enhance logistics performance
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: $72,700 - $109,100 per year, based on factors like experience, education, and location
