Job Description

Hours: 40 - 50 hours per week 

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience

Immediate openings are available for Skid and Structural Welders. Candidates must be able to pass a 3G MIG/FCAW welding test and have at least 2 years of experience working with structural steel and plate.

Experience Level: 2 years 

Shift: 10-hour day shift 6am-4:30pm

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 

Work Setting: Fabrication shop

* Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.

* Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.

* Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.

* Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.

* Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors.

* Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux, according to welding chart specifications or types and thicknesses of metals.

* Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
